Buoyant Blossoms with WOW! Embossing Powder

I am so very lucky to be here with WOW! Embossing Powder!! I can't believe I managed to make it here, but I am feeling blessed. Today I'd like to share with you a canvas I made for this month's inspirations. As I had mentioned in my first post I had decided to go with a traditional, yet, modern take on springtime blossoms with a classic twist. As you can see, I chose bright colors with an added bit of dark undertones to give each project deep contrast using WOW! Embossing Powders. This is quite an extravagant piece. So many techniques and design angles went into its creation. I hope you try some of these techniques for yourself and like the results just as much as I do.

***Let's get our heat on, shall we?!***

1. Begin by laying down a nice coat of gesso

*Hint: I know they come pre gessoed but I like to do it anyway*

2. Alter your chipboard flourishes using two different colors of embossing powders

*Hint: I used two separate pieces of paper so I could quickly get the powder on them*

3. Now emboss the frame using the Gold Pearl embossing powder

*Once the canvas is dry we can have some stenciling fun*

4. Using your texture paste randomly add to your canvas through the stencil

*Hint: You want your frame to be able to lay flat on the canvas*

5. Before the texture dries, add Jealous Guy to the texture and heat set it

*Hint: The effects on dry and wet texture paste are different, while wet the texture raises higher*

6. Alter your castings using waxes and acrylic paint

7. To bring in some contrast, I embossed the clean edges of the canvas using Crusty Copper

*Hint: To give it a softer look, I used some acrylic paint to tone down the embossing powder a bit*

8. Now layer your flowers one by one

9. Add the pins randomly under your beautiful floral gathering

10. You will now want to place your chipboard flourishes randomly throughout your creation

*Hint: Only add glue to the last petal or two as to not get glue on your flowers*

11. Place your metal quote down in the bottom left-hand corner using your favorite adhesive 12. Using the same adhesive, let's get bugging, add your castings to the canvas

13. As your finishing touch, add some colored pebbles

***Here are some close-ups for you to enjoy!***
