Hello! I'm ending the month in a different direction. Going back to my roots. Today I have a decoupaged canvas featuring loads of chippys from the store. This rice paper would be nothing without all the beautifully cut and detailed designs. If you know me, you know my favorite kind of crafting is the darker more masculine kind of grunge. In other words, this piece is me moving away from all the color and back into my crafty cozy home.

1. Begin by making your background
*Hint: I used a rice paper
2. While the paper dries, alter your chipboard cutouts using acrylic paints and waxes
3. Begin assembling with the border and airship
4. Then lay down your screws, nails, nuts 'n bolts
5. Finally, add your Mitform metal castings and propellers
6. Distress the edges of the canvas using black gesso
*Hint: This gives it a frame and, in my opinion, provides an overall finished and complete look
9. For finishing touches, add a pearl under her eyes
