"My Moon and My Stars" with Creative Embellishments

Hello everyone! It's a new month at Creative Embellishments Blog! As some of you know, I don't make a lot of layouts but I get great enjoyment out of creating them. This layout is no different! The title gives it all away. Our children are our true legacies. It is they who live on telling our stories and the stories of those before our time. My son, my moon, and my stars. Even in the most frustrating of times, there is no greater enjoyment in life than watching your children grow and blossom.

Let's get to scrapping, shall we?!

1. Begin by adding a layer of clear gesso to your scrapbook paper

Hint: This will allow for the paper to withstand w/e you throw at it

2. Alter your chipboard pieces using acrylic paints

3. Distress all the pieces using some wax

4. Mat your photographs using black cardstock and distress the edges

Hint: No special tool needed. Just use a pair of duller scissors

5. Alter your resin star pieces using some acrylic paint and the same color wax

Hint: Use the wax to only highlight the higher layers of the castings

6. Use your stencil and some texture paste to add some delicate background interest

7. Now splatter some of the same gold paint on the surface of your layout

8. Add all your chipboard pieces one by one

9. Then layer your molds to accent the chipboard stars

10. Place your photographs

11. Put down your shaker and chipboard quote

12. Finish off the layout with some smaller metal stars, bulb, and sticker quotes
